Information and Administration of the José Roger Balet Project
My name is Roger Tarrats Balet and I am the creator and administrator of the Official Website of Mr. José Roger Balet.
This website was created with the purpose of compiling and sharing all available information about his life and legacy, highlighting especially his philanthropic work so that it may serve as an example and inspiration for future generations.
I am deeply grateful to his closest relatives for authorizing me to carry out this project, which is a true pleasure and honor for me.
I also wish to thank the writer Yderla Anzoátegui for writing his biographical book in 1961, which has served as a primary source of information and guide, as well as a very special thanks to the person who gifted me a copy.
Finally, attentive readers may have noticed that, given my second surname, I might have some family connection to the subject of this story—and indeed I do, though it is a distant relationship: I am one of the great-grandchildren of his uncle, Mr. Domènec Balet Nadal; in other words, my great-grandfather Mr. Domingo Balet Duran was his first cousin. As for my first name coinciding with his first surname, it is purely a coincidence.
